Specializations

For each role tier (Standard and Support), you can set up various specializations. You can then set up different access controls per specialization on the module level (e.g. only some specializations are allowed to use the billing module) and on the item level (e.g. only some specializations are allowed to use certain forms).


Create a specialization (EMR)

To create a specialization:

  • Go to the EMR (e.g. emr.avonhealth.com)
  • Click on the hamburger menu on the top left corner > Settings > Specializations
  • Click “Add a specialization” under the Standard Specializations or Support Specializations header depending on which tier you want this specialization to belong to
  • Set the name of the specialization
  • All information set is autosaved so click “Finish”
  • If you want to add additional triage team members, click "+ Add" and repeat the adding a specialization process

Edit or delete specializations (EMR)

To edit or delete a specialization:

  • Go to the EMR (e.g. emr.avonhealth.com)
  • Click on the hamburger menu on the top left corner > Settings > Specializations
  • Click on the specializations card that you want to edit/delete
  • If you want to edit the specialization, change the name of the specialization and click “Finish”
  • If you want to delete the specialization, click the “Delete” button in the lower righthand corner
