Introduction

Onboarding Checklist

Now that you have access to the platform, let’s get you all set up. Start by configuring your account — including medical centers, access controls, branding, and more — following the steps outlined below.

Pro Tip: If this is your first time using Avon, you’ll also receive access to a Sandbox account. We recommend using this account for all testing to ensure your live account remains clean and contains accurate data. If you have any questions about your Sandbox account, reach out to your Avon representative.

🧭 General Account Setup

First, set up your general organization details:

  • Branding
  • Medical Centers
  • Peer Groups
  • Modules
  • Specializations
  • Access Controls

⚙️ Set Up Your Key Automations

  • Provider Invitations
Once you’re ready for providers to start using the portal, invite them by following the instructions here.
To ensure they receive the invite, set up the automation here.

  • Support Member Invitations

To ensure they receive the invite, set up the automation here.

  • Patient Invitations
When you’re ready for patients to sign up, they can either self-register or you can invite them using the instructions here.
If you need to migrate existing patient data, please let your Avon contact know.
To ensure patients receive their invitations, set up the automation here.

  • Appointment Reminders
Set up appointment confirmations and reminders using automation.
You can view an example flow and learn how to configure appointment reminders here.

🧩 Create Your Key Templates

  • Note Templates
To enable providers to create visit notes, set up templates they can use.
You can design simple one-question textboxes, SOAP notes, or complex conditional templates.
See how to set up note templates here.

  • Care Plan Templates
Similar to notes, you can set up care plan templates here.

  • Document Templates
To create documents in a standardized format, you can set up document templates — or upload images and PDFs directly without templates.

  • Forms
You can create form templates (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7) and view trends over time.
Learn how to set them up here.

  • Appointment Types
Set up appointment types such as “Therapy Session” or “Intake Evaluation.”
    Follow the guide here.

👥 Invite Providers and Support Team Members

Once your automations and access controls are configured, you can start inviting providers and support team members.
We recommend beginning with a few users to confirm everything is working smoothly, then inviting the rest of your team.
