Comments

You can add comments to any note, care plan, document, insurance claim, superbill, or invoice. This can be useful when you are reviewing a chart item (such as a note) and don't want to modify it directly.


Add a comment (EMR)

To add a comment:

  • Go to the EMR (e.g. emr.avonhealth.com)
  • Click on the hamburger menu on the top left corner > Patients > Click on "View chart" for the appropriate patient
  • Find the item that you want to add a comment on and click on it
  • Click on the "View Comments" button on the upper right-hand corner
  • Type your comment where it says "Type your comment here"
  • Click "Comment"

Resolve a comment (EMR)

To resolve a comment:

  • Go to the EMR (e.g. emr.avonhealth.com)
  • Click on the hamburger menu on the top left corner > Patients > Click on "View chart" for the appropriate patient
  • Find the item that you want to resolve a comment on and click on it
  • Click on the "View Comments" button on the upper right-hand corner
  • Find the comment that you want to resolve and click the checkmark icon in the upper right-hand corner of the comment
  • The comment will be marked as resolved

Delete a comment (EMR)

  • Go to the EMR (e.g. emr.avonhealth.com)
  • Click on the hamburger menu on the top left corner > Patients > Click on "View chart" for the appropriate patient
  • Find the item that you want to delete a comment on and click on it
  • Click on the "View Comments" button on the upper right-hand corner
  • Find the comment that you want to delete and click the trash can icon in the upper right-hand corner of the comment
  • The comment will be permanently deleted and the action can not be reversed
